In a sensational incident, a 19-year-old youth sustained serious injuries from police bullet firing on Friday, 30th April evening in Kokrajhar district. The incident took place at around 8 pm at Karigaon Bodoland Dhaba under Kokrajhar police station. The injured person was immediately rushed to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital.
The person injured has been identified as Projit Seal Basumatary of East Shyamtaibari. However, in a shocking revelation, the injured said that the police fired on him while he was visiting the dhaba for his evening work.
According to reports, the bullet hit him on his left leg causing serious injuries.
