Guwahati, June 06 (NKTV): On June 05, the NEEPCO Hydro Power Project at Seajuli released water through its Gate no. 4 that led to a violent manifestation of the Ranganadi river.
The swift and extensive flow of river water washed away a bamboo bridge which was the only means of communication for residents of over five villages in the region.
Locals have now resorted to locally-made boats to cross the river. Allegations have surfaced against the contractor for not completing construction work of the bridge on time.
