Guwahati, June 08 (NKTV): While the state of Assam fights the Covid pandemic, the yearly Assam Flood is back to haunt the state. As reported by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), a total of 31,970 people have already fallen prey to flood waters across Assam.
The districts of Biswanath, Dhemaji and Lakhimpur have been affected. A relief distribution centre has already been set up by the administration in Lakhimpur.
Erosion has been reported from Baksa, Goalpara, Morigaan and Nalbari.
No death has been reported so far.
