Giving a major push to Covid-19 treatment facilities in the state, the State Bank of India, NE circle in collaboration with SBI Foundation has donated 120 ICU beds to Guwahati Medical & Hospital to use the beds in the extended Covid-19 ICU.
The Chief General Manager of SBI NE Circle RS Ramesh today on 22nd May handed over the sanction letter of the ICU beds to Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at his office chamber at Janata Bhawan in presence of the Principal of Guwahati Medical College Dr. Achyut Baishya and SBI General Manager Suranjana Dutta.
Appreciating the step, Chief Minister Sarma said that the support extended by SBI would be a great help to the Covid-19 affected people of the state.
