A 9-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped by an aged person in Bishmuri area of Kokrajhar district. The incident took place at Bishmuri area of Kokrajhar which has come into light when Kokrajhar district committee of the Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and Bishmuri anchalik committee ABSU have conducted a thorough investigation having an information about the incident.
The accused person who was identified as Raghunath Narzary, who is now about 55-year-old has been repeatedly raped over three times the minor girl since few days ago. The victim family members lodged a FIR with Kokrajhar police station, case no.387/2021,u/s 376AB R/W section 4 of POCSO Act.2005.
The accused person has been absconding since Thursday night whose house is very adjacent to the victim’s house at the remote area of Bishmuri. The victim girl has been sent to hospital for medical care and Police have started their initial investigation into the incident.
President of Kokrajhar district committee of ABSU, Kripesh Daimary has condemned the alledgly raped incident and demanded strict punishment to the accused with immediate action. He has urged district administration to take necessary steps to stop anti social incidents like rape, molestation,murder,drugs abuse etc among the society.
Chairperson of Kokrajhar Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Malati Rani Narzary also expressed her serious concern over the repeatedly raped on a minor girl which is very inhumanity act in today’s era. She has urged district administration and state government as well BTC administration to take stern steps against the crimes happening on girl, women etc in the district.
