In a shocking incident a person was burnt alive and another received severe burn injuries after an oil tanker and a truck carrying sand collided in Bokajan 28th April. The injured has been rushed to the Bokajan Civil Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
Acording to witnesses, the deceased was the driver of the oil tanker who was burnt to death on the driving seat itself. The injured person has been identified as the co-driver of the oil tanker.
The oil tanker bears registration number NL 01 L 0110 and the truck AS 01 BC 9259.
The tanker was on the way to Golaghat from Dimapur. The victims have not been identified till the filing of this report.
Police investigation is undertaken. Furious locals have said that locals speeding trucks ledding to accident has become a regular occurance in the Bokajan area.
