With the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic hitting hard, Meghalaya has issued revised standard operating procedures or SOPs to be followed in the coming days.
As per the new guidelines, outstation tourists will not be allowed entry into the state from 23rd April till further notification. However, local tourism will continue in the state. Also tourist spots with high tourist footfall will be closed.
The time frame for the validity of RT-PCR tests will be reduced from 72 to 48 hours.
After a review meeting of the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the state, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted,
