In a sensational incident, around 18 elephants died due to a lightning strike in a remote forest of Nagoan district in Assam. The incident has brought immense sensation in the state of Assam, also among the animal lovers and environmentalists.
According to reports the elephants died to lightning strikes which might have hit them. A team of veterinary doctors and environmentalist has been sent by the government for further investigation regarding the matter.
Sources, say that there has been several incident of man-animal conflicts. Many people have raised questions about the incident as no plants and trees had been affected by the lightning strikes then how come these 18 elephants died.
