Guwahati, June 12 (NKTV): Dead bodies of two minor girls, belonging to the same family, have been recovered at Abhaikuti in Kokrajhar Friday evening. The Police recovered the bodies of the girls hanging from a tree.
Locals of the region have suspected that the girls were killed and then later hanged while the family too is pf the same opinion and have demanded investigation into the incident.
An FIR has been lodged at the Kokrajhar Police Station.
Minister UG Brahma and MLA Lawrence Islary have strongly condemned the incident and urged the District Administration to take all necessary actions.
The SP of Kokrajhar informed that the police has already started investigation into the incident.
