After the massive win of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Assam assembly elections 2021 getting over 75 seats, a huge rush of triumphant BJP candidates is now being seen at Himanta Biswa Sarma’s residence. According to reports, discussion regarding who would be the chief minister is on and the main contenders seem to be both Himanta Biswa Sarma and Sarbananda Sonowal.
After his victory from Jagiroad BJP leader Pijush Hazarika also met Himanta Biswa Sarma at his residence in Guwahati on Sunday late night. However, speaking to media, he denied that their meeting was regarding the chief minister selection. Rather he said that it was just a victory meet with his ‘big brother’ Himanta Biswa Sarma. He also said, “I am just a member and party worker of BJP and all the decisions will be taken by the parliamentary board of the party and central leaders.”
Meanwhile, five successful BJP candidates of Karbi Hills met Himanta Biswa Sarma today and they openly supported him as the CM candidate in front of the media.
Triumphant candidates like Nomal Momin and others have also arrived at the residence of Himanta Biswa and non-stop meetings are going on.
