Guwahati, June 16 (NKTV): The state of Mizoram has reported 268 new positive cases of Covid-19 one Covid-related death in the last 24 hours. The present death toll in the state stands at 71.
Of the new cases, 221 have been detected in Aizawl alone.
A 92-year-old woman from Aizawl district succumbed to the infection on Tuesday evening, an official informed.
Mizoram presently has 3,637 active cases, while 12,191 people have recovered from the infection till date, including 194 people on Tuesday.
The Covid-19 recovery rate on the state is 76.28 per cent while the death rate is 0.44 per cent.
As informed by State Immunisation Officer Dr Lalzawmi, as many as 3,14,844 people have been administered the first dose of Covid vaccine of which 53,260 people have received both doses of the vaccine.
