Newly elected Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi has alleged that he has been manhandled by the NIA and Police during his entry to the Assam Legislative Assembly. During his entry Akhil Gogoi said ” I have been man-handled, pushed by these NIA officials and Police, Is this the way you treat a newly elected MLA? he questioned.
Noted peasant leader of Assam Akhil Gogoi is set to take oath in the Assam Legislative Assembly today on 21th May. Akhil Gogoi is currently in GMCH under custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Earlier Akhil Gogoi was booked under the amended UAPA (Unlawful Assembly Prevention Act) by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
