The new deputy commissioner of Kokrajhar, Megh Nidhi Dahal has assumed as Deputy Commissioner today at DC office amidst Covid protocol in Kokrajhar. Dahal took charge from outgoing DC Kokrajhar Bhaskar Phukan.Dahal was transferred as DC Kokrajhar from Hailakandi while Phukan has been transferred as additional secretary at Dispur under Urban development and Guwahati development department.
Taking after charge as DC in Kokrajhar,Dahal administered oath among officers on the occasion of national anti-terrorism day observation. Dahal said that he is emphasizing for dedicated towards social integration. He said that preventing measures against the ongoing COVID-19 situation will be top priority in his days in the entire district.
He has urged the citizens to maintain social distance and using hands sanitization as well wearing masks to combat the COVID-19 influence. Outgoing DC, Phukan has extended sincere thanks to all citizens of Kokrajhar district and cooperation while discharging duty and responsibilities during his tenure as DC last 12 months.
