Guwahati, June 04 (NKTV): The BTR executive member for Urban development department Dharma Narayan Das on Friday said “Kokrajhar would be uplifted and developed from the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) administration in all aspects”.
Das has visited to inspect drainage system and it’s outlet at Narabari, children park near DC office Kokrajhar under Kokrajhar municipality board (KMB) today. He was accompanied with chairperson of Kokrajhar municipality board Pratibha Brahma, engineers and Urban development officials.
Das expressed his dissatisfiction with the prevailing situation of improper drainage system along the Kokrajhar town area. He has emphasised that urban development department has been initiated strong steps to ensure healthy uplift and development for the Kokrajhar town as BTC administration has announced Kokrajhar as ‘city of peace’.
He informed that urban development department has prepared a master plan for making a healthy development for Kokrajhar town. He said that all drainage system and it’s adjoining outlets would be cleaned up properly to end the water-logging problems along the town areas.
He said that the Kokrajhar town must get neat and clean with erecting street lights besides beautification of the town with necessary strong strategies in days to come. He has asked the concern authorities to dedicate hearted while implementation of all schemes and projects which has been going to be launched. Das has alleged that previous BPF ruled government in the council has done nothing welfare for town’s uplift and development during their 17 year rule.
